Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of OutNow Tickets as a customer, guest purchaser, promoter, organiser or authorised event staff member, including ticket sales, fees, cancellations, refunds, transfers and payouts.
1. About OutNow Tickets
OutNow Tickets is operated by OUTNOW TICKETS LTD ("OutNow", "we", "us" or "our"), a private company registered in England and Wales under company number 17519279.
OutNow is an online marketplace and ticketing platform available through outnowtickets.com and our mobile applications. It allows customers to discover and buy event tickets and allows independent promoters and organisers to create, manage and sell tickets for events.
Unless an event listing clearly states otherwise, the promoter or organiser identified for the event is responsible for delivering the event. OutNow provides the marketplace, checkout, digital ticketing, communications, refund tools and payment infrastructure used to facilitate the transaction.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.
2. Accounts, guest checkout and authorised access
Customers may be able to buy tickets using an OutNow account or as a guest. Promoters must use an authorised promoter account to create and manage events. Staff scanner access may only be used for events to which the relevant promoter has assigned that staff member.
You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
OutNow may support email, Google and Apple authentication. You must not use another person's identity or account without authority.
We may suspend, restrict or close access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, promoters, OutNow or payment systems, including for suspected fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, security risks or serious breaches of these terms.
3. Buying, using and transferring tickets
Before paying, you should check the event, date, time, venue, ticket type, quantity and total amount shown at checkout. A booking is not complete until payment has been successfully confirmed.
Tickets may be issued digitally and may contain a unique QR code or other entry credential. You must not forge, duplicate, alter, publish or misuse tickets or entry credentials.
Where OutNow enables ticket transfers, you must use the supported transfer flow. A transfer may expire, be cancelled before acceptance, or be refused where required by event rules, fraud prevention or law. Once a valid transfer is accepted, OutNow may rotate or replace the ticket credential so the previous credential no longer grants entry.
Event-specific age restrictions, accessibility arrangements, venue rules, entry requirements and lawful transfer or resale restrictions disclosed for the event also apply.
4. Prices, booking fees, commission and payment
Ticket prices, discounts, booking fees, applicable taxes and the total payable are shown before the customer completes checkout. The amount displayed at checkout is the amount the customer authorises for that order.
OutNow may apply a customer booking fee and may deduct platform commission from promoter ticket revenue. Applicable amounts are calculated by the platform and shown in the relevant checkout, receipt or promoter area.
Payments are processed using Stripe and related payment infrastructure. Customer payments are processed through the OutNow platform account and the promoter's eligible share is recorded separately for later payout. OutNow does not intentionally store full payment-card numbers or card security codes in its own application database.
A receipt is evidence of the amounts processed for an order. It is not a VAT invoice unless it is expressly identified as one and the relevant seller is VAT registered. VAT is shown only where the transaction data requires it.
5. Events, changes and cancellations
Promoters are responsible for the event itself, including venue access, programme, performers, scheduling, licensing, safety and event rules. They must promptly tell OutNow about material changes or a proposed cancellation.
If an event is cancelled, OutNow may stop further ticket sales, invalidate affected tickets and coordinate customer refunds in accordance with the Refund Policy, applicable law and the payment status of the order.
OutNow is not responsible for separate travel, accommodation or other third-party costs purchased independently in connection with an event, except where the law requires otherwise.
6. Refunds and refund requests
Refund eligibility depends on the event's refund policy, event status, applicable law and the circumstances of the request. Tickets for leisure activities on a specific date or during a specific period generally do not carry the standard 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right.
Where available, customers may submit full or partial refund requests through OutNow. Requests may be reviewed by OutNow and/or the promoter. Approved refunds are processed back through the relevant Stripe payment rails and may take additional time to appear at the customer's bank or card issuer.
When a full refund makes a ticket no longer valid, OutNow may void the ticket or its QR credential and restore ticket inventory where appropriate. Refund status may include processing or reconciliation stages while Stripe and our internal ledger are synchronised.
See the Refund Policy for more detail.
7. Promoter and organiser obligations
By creating or managing an event, you confirm that you have authority to offer the event and tickets and that the information you provide is accurate and not misleading.
- provide accurate event, venue, ticket and seller information;
- comply with applicable law, licences, tax rules and venue requirements;
- honour valid tickets sold through OutNow;
- notify OutNow promptly of material changes or proposed cancellation;
- maintain accurate Stripe Connect, payout, identity and compliance information;
- co-operate with legitimate refund, dispute and chargeback investigations;
- only give scanner access to staff who genuinely need it for assigned events; and
- use attendee information only for lawful event-related purposes unless another lawful basis applies.
Where an event or promoter action creates customer refund liability, OutNow may recover the promoter-funded portion from pending, available or reserved promoter balances and may account for that liability before further payouts are released.
8. Event staff and scanner access
Promoters may assign scanner permission to authorised staff for selected events. Staff access is limited to the permissions made available by the platform and may be revoked by the promoter or OutNow.
Staff must use scanning tools only to verify entry for assigned events, must not copy or disclose attendee information unnecessarily, and must not attempt to access promoter finances, payouts or other restricted areas. Check-in activity may be recorded against the staff account for security and audit purposes.
9. Promoter balances, payouts, reserves and recovery
Promoter proceeds are not payable immediately after each ticket sale. Eligible promoter revenue is recorded in the OutNow ledger and remains pending until the event and platform payout conditions are satisfied.
Eligible funds may move from pending to available and then be transferred to the promoter's connected Stripe account. Payouts may be delayed where there is a refund, dispute, chargeback, fraud concern, compliance issue, payment-provider restriction, negative balance or other reasonable risk to OutNow or customers.
OutNow may reserve or offset promoter funds to cover refunds, chargebacks, disputes, cancellation liabilities, payment processing costs, taxes or other amounts the promoter owes under these terms.
If a promoter has already received funds and a later liability cannot be fully recovered from platform balances, future promoter earnings may be applied against that liability before further payouts become available.
A balance shown as pending, available, processing or reserved in the promoter area is an accounting status and is not confirmation that a bank payout has completed.
10. Acceptable use
- Do not commit fraud or impersonate another person or organisation.
- Do not interfere with the security or operation of the platform.
- Do not upload malware or attempt unauthorised access.
- Do not scrape or exploit the service in a way that harms the platform.
- Do not harass users or misuse attendee information.
- Do not sell tickets or events you are not authorised to provide.
- Do not breach applicable law or third-party rights.
11. Content and intellectual property
OutNow's software, platform design, branding and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Promoters remain responsible for event descriptions, logos, images and other materials they upload and confirm that they have the rights needed for OutNow to host, display and use that content for operating and promoting the relevant event and platform services.
12. Responsibility and liability
OutNow will provide its platform services with reasonable care and skill. Where we breach these terms, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage resulting from that breach to the extent required by law.
Because events are generally supplied by independent promoters, OutNow is not responsible for a promoter's acts or omissions, event performance or venue operations except to the extent responsibility arises from OutNow's own obligations or cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Changes to OutNow or these terms
We may update the platform and these terms where reasonably necessary for new features, security, legal requirements, payment arrangements or business changes. The current version and effective date will be published here. Changes will not remove rights already attached to a completed purchase where applicable law does not allow that.
14. Governing law, contact and disputes
These terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in the place where you live.
