Privacy Policy
This notice explains what personal information OutNow Tickets processes, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights available to you under UK data-protection law.
1. Who we are
OUTNOW TICKETS LTD, company number 17519279, is a company registered in England and Wales and operates the OutNow Tickets website, mobile applications and ticketing marketplace.
For personal information used to operate the platform, provide accounts, process bookings, communicate with users, support promoters and staff, and run our own business, OUTNOW TICKETS LTD generally acts as the data controller.
Event promoters may also act as independent controllers for attendee information they receive to operate their events, manage entry, provide support or meet their own legal obligations.
You can contact us at support@outnowtickets.com or through our Contact page.
2. Personal information we collect
3. Where personal information comes from
- directly from you when you use OutNow;
- from guest checkout, registration, support requests and event interactions;
- from Google or Apple when you choose supported third-party authentication;
- from Stripe in connection with payments, connected accounts, refunds, disputes and payouts;
- from event promoters and authorised event staff where necessary to operate an event or resolve an attendee issue;
- from our hosting, database, email, notification and security infrastructure; and
- automatically from your use of the website or mobile app where needed for security, analytics and core functionality.
4. How and why we use personal information
We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis under UK data-protection law. Depending on the purpose, we rely on contract, steps requested before entering a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations or consent.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice. Recipients can include:
- Event promoters — for fulfilment, attendee management, event entry and support.
- Stripe — for payment processing, connected promoter accounts, refunds, disputes and payouts.
- Google and Apple — where you choose those authentication services.
- Resend — for transactional and permitted email delivery.
- Push-notification providers and mobile platform services — to deliver app notifications you have enabled.
- Vercel — for website/application hosting and infrastructure.
- Neon — for hosted database infrastructure.
- Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts or law enforcement where disclosure is necessary or legally required.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
6. Promoters, event staff and attendee information
When you buy a ticket, relevant booking and attendee information may be made available to the promoter responsible for the event so they can validate tickets, manage entry, communicate necessary event information and resolve attendee issues.
Promoters may assign scanner access to authorised staff. Staff should receive only the information and permissions needed for assigned events. Check-in records may identify the staff account that performed a scan for security and audit purposes.
Promoters and their staff must use attendee information lawfully. A promoter may publish its own privacy notice for separate processing for which it acts as an independent controller.
7. International data transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, we use or rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism made available by law or by the relevant provider.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, chargeback and dispute-resolution requirements.
Account information is generally retained while an account remains active and for an appropriate period afterwards. Order, payment, refund, payout, ticket and compliance records may be kept longer because they form part of financial, security or legal records.
If you ask us to delete information, we may retain limited records where necessary to comply with law, establish or defend legal claims, prevent fraud, preserve ticket/check-in integrity or maintain accurate financial records.
9. Cookies, app storage and analytics
OutNow uses cookies, secure app storage or similar technologies needed for authenticated sessions, secure login flows, fraud prevention, preferences and core functionality.
We may also use proportionate analytics to understand product performance and improve the service. Where consent is legally required for non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies, we will provide appropriate controls before using them.
10. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights to access your data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict processing, object to legitimate-interest processing, request portability, withdraw consent and object to direct marketing.
These rights are not absolute and may depend on why we hold the information and whether a legal exemption applies.
Contact support@outnowtickets.com and state that your request concerns privacy or personal data. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
11. Automated decision-making
OutNow does not currently make solely automated decisions about users that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Payment, banking or fraud-prevention providers may use automated systems as part of their own services and policies.
12. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including authenticated sessions, access controls, secure transport, restricted administrative access, audit records and security monitoring.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your login credentials and contact us promptly if you believe your account or tickets have been compromised.
13. Changes to this privacy notice
We may update this notice when our services, suppliers, technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published here with an updated date. Where required, we will take reasonable steps to bring material changes to users' attention.
